Camp Aranzazu Resiliency Fund
In May of 2021, the Camp Aranzazu Board of Directors launched an ambitious effort to create a $10 million permanent endowment, the Camp Aranzazu Resiliency Fund. The purpose of the endowment is to create a stable, predictable source of funds to support the Camp’s two highest priorities—underwriting for camper fees so that as many children and adults as possible can attend camp, and maintaining the Camp’s 105-acre, 175-bed facility.
An anonymous Houston-area family Foundation has pledged $1 million outright and will match all additional gifts and pledges received by December 31, 2022, up to $2.5 million. To date, the Camp has raised $2.975 million. We must raise another $525,000 by December 2022 in order to receive the full $2.5 million match.
Camp Aranzazu board member Bobby Hatcher is chairman of the Resiliency Fund Campaign. Fields Alexander, Giovanna Carter, Blake Finger, Tom Forney, John Guill, Keith Little, Bryan Phillips and John Watson are also providing significant volunteer support.
